how can i add music to unity? sorry if i sound stupid, i'm brand new to game dev.

Brakeys tutorial on it is great. Make sure you have a look through all of the videos on the Brackeys channel. Will get you a good jump start!
Also remember we all started out somewhere, don’t feel stupid. A good thing to do is to google this stuff first. If you don’t understand part of a tutorial or you can’t find exactly what you are looking for, I am sure there are lots of helpful people around that will give you some direction.
The best solution for me is to put audio listener in a empty object and put your audio clip inside it.
