Why won't my npc load

I am making a 3D survival horror game in Unity 2019.4.12f1 and I'm having an issue. I have a NPC that follows you around as you play and the NPC seemed to be working fine. That was until I attempted to load the scene for another scene(A Menu). When I did this the NPC did not load in at all. I was wondering why this might be happening. For context, I am using the UMA dynamic character's as models for my NPC.
