I just want the code to apply in unity scripting on a chracter controller to let it drown or float in a water area full with details so reply now please i am waiting...
If you are using Rigidbody, just increase the linear drag, it will slow down the gravity as air will be opposing it, or i am not sure.
These are some videos of boat in unity, you can replace the boat with your character, with some tweaks.
the best i think is just translate the boats possition according to sin wave or a noise algorithm to make it look like its actually floating and do some random rotation on sideways to make it look like its drowning in a storm
