int num01;

num01 = 20;

Does this mean that int is a variable and its called num01, and num01 equals 20? am i reading this right?

Int is not a variable but a data type (type of the variable). Int meaning whole numbers (-2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647 – signed 32 bit integer).

Num01 is a variable. But you’re right.
