Is there any tutorials for creating a matchmakingsystem in unity? Or can someone help me with it.

I need a system that matches players together that wants to play. Thanks!

What do you mean with ‘matchmakingsystem’? Do you want to make a coop version with 4 to 8 players? A coop version with 1 vs 4? Or maybe only teams? Can you explain more about your idea? There are enough tutorials online, but if you want a specific one (or help with the system you made but doens’t work the way you want) then we can help you 🙂

I mean teams. For example i choose a game mode that i want to play, like team deathmatch and click find match and then a “matchmaking system” puts people that chose the same game mode together in a lobby and then the game starts.

If you want different gamemode types (like team deathmatch and 4 player coop) you will need to use different scenes and for each scene a new type of multiplayer scripting. For just 2 teams with each a different spawnpoint you can google for “unet defining teams” or “unet multiplayer teams” and you will find something like http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/592026/how-do-you-make-teams-in-a-network-game.html. Hope this will help you in the right direction.

I think you can start with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK57qdq_lak&list=PLPV2KyIb3jR5PhGqsO7G4PsbEC_Al-kPZ. Create a new project or try to implement the code in your current project.

I’ve watched that series before, but that is not what i’m looking for. I want a system that starts to match players together by itself immidiatley after they’ve pressed the button find match.

You know like black ops.

Then you have to build it yourself from scratch, there is no function or piece of code that you can copy & paste to make this work, you start with the basics like transform and object synchronization then you can build logic that will place the players in a match.

So first make the basics from that video (if you don’t know how to do the online part) and then if that is working you can add the logic for creating matches.
