Saving to File as Binary, not as String

Hello there,

I was wondering if there was a possibility in C# to save a value from a variable to a file directly. So far I have been converting the value to a string to then save it in a .txt file. But I thought it might be more efficient to store these values as hex or binary and directly not as a string since I am storing and loading huge amounts of data (currently 2,700,000 sets consisting of large numbers up to 50,000,000) and the amount of data is only growing with the usage of the program since it continuously creates new data. My google search (I might not be capable 😛 ) sadly gave me no returns so I thought maybe someone here has already done something like it, or knows how to do it.

Thank you for reading
