Hi again,

I found out that the NavMesh only bakes onto the XZ plane, however I want to apply it to my top-down view 2D shooter developed on the XY plane.. is there any way I can bake the NavMesh onto the XZ?

Thx

only sidesxrollers have that problem… Y did you make it in that axis? … But since its top down you could just make it using the default axis…. XZ is the ground….and bake in the default plane.

I saw many developers saying that starting in the XY was much user friendly for the use of many unity functionalities.. so I did that. Also, I used vector2 for all my scripts until now, would that work with X and Z instead of X and Y (I do not know, but I thought it could only be used on XY due to the two components nature)?

You can use A* pathfinding works for 2D

It probably depends on how you program it to work
