Hello all you developers. I’m here looking for 2 people, one who can apply textures and color schemes to models, and someone who can create quite large levels. So let’s talk about what the project is. To summarize (And not give everything away) the project were working on is a 1st/3rd person strategy game where the player takes control of a small military force to protect the people from the threat of Kaiju, extremely large monsters. These aren’t normal enemies that you over time take down through shooting it, with these creatures you need to outlay it. From luring it into range of a very powerful weapon to luring it near a mountain where you could crush it, the player will need to manage both their limited resources, the population, and keep track of where the monster is going. So what do these kaiju look like? This creature already has a model that is waiting to be textured and rigged, has several skin concepts, and limited programming with more being worked on as we speak. This is just one of our planned kaiju, with planned kaiju that use fur, feathers, scales, and whatever in-between. So that’s the game, what do we need? Well first the texture artist, we need someone who can bring life into these behemoths, make them look the part. Each kaiju will have multiple color schemes as a way to add a bit of diversity and customization to the game. We need someone who can work on these large models and make them look to an acceptable quality for today’s standards, if not more. Also if there’s anyone who can also work on vehicles (Mostly military) and buildings, those are extra points that we need. And then a level designer, someone who can make large enough maps to accommodate for these creatures size. These maps will need to be big enough for multiple cities (cities aren’t as big as our cities, but still fairly large) and be detailed enough to be up to modern standards. With both positions modeling is a plus but is not needed, and other skills are welcome as well. So let’s talk money, unfortunately for the time-being there can’t be any payment, there’s simply no way at the moment. I’m saying that the current an is to develop the game until its in a playable state with at least 1 finished map, gameplay acceptable to show, and monster AI competent enough to be fun to play against. Once we reach that point we will launch a Kickstarter campaign where, assuming it successful, those who need payment will receive what they absolutely need.
