[SOLVED] Lightning on terrain

Hello All,

I have a small questions, where i cant find any information about. Most probaly i am searching on the wrong keywords or searching wrong. I was playing around with the terrain textures, but i cant seem to fix the lightning which is caused by a in unity option. Look at the attachment for a better visual, the light adjust the colours of my terrain.

My question is, am i doing something wrong with the terrain of is the lightning just standard set up and i have to adjust it later? The files are PNG and i created a bitmap with crazybump.

Euh..Id like to help but your images arent loading. Edit: Im getting weird material behaviours on my terrain too.And btw,its normal that the terrain color changes with the light color(yup, the terrain  is white by default)  .

Now it should work, i tried to play a bit with the lightning effects, but it doesnt remove this weird light on the terrain from some point. 

Check both images, one with the uploaded images both PNG bitmap + PNG terrain. And other one you see the colour different, i dont mind if its lighter, but the whole terrain changes it’s “shape”.

I believe you can adjust the smoothness and metalic values. You should set those to 0.

I already checked that answer and have tested this, This problem occurs when you have a overlay of 2 different materials, My lightning comes from the map on the material, Something like a bouncing light, I cant adjust the smoothness only the metalic value, Any idea what i do wrong?

Hi,

I tried to add a material inside, i discovered the problem is in the normal map, it seems that this is adding some sort of smoothness over my textures which i cant seem to solve. What am i doing wrong? i make the normal maps with crazy bump and it should be fine. I added a sphere to test the material on a different object, when i changed the value’s there it seemed right, but when i add the textures on terrain, i dont seem to have any bar to change the smoothness,

I changed PNG to TGA and it solved the reflection problem, Also can i set now the smoothness of the material higher and lower. I hope this will be usefull for other developers in the future.
