Indirect Lightning or something

Thats what a part of my scene looks like and my question is
how can i make the ground mesh get kind of an indirect lightning from
the pink mesh cause it is looking so unrealistic right now. Or making the light in
the scene more realistic at all, somebody got some tips?

now it kinda works not very fine but okay for now; but dion do you know if their is a way to get not static meshes get this effected by global illuminaton too?

try giving this a read it might give you some info on how GI works and it might help you
