Hi,

My name is Arun ,from India.I’m 22 years of age.I am a Noob in unity as well as all part of Game dev. Games are really my passion. I would love to get a job inside the video game industry. Can you guys suggest me the steps I  should  take to enter the Industry or should I wait sometime to start something of my own.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

my advice would be to practice and build up a portfolio of your work, whether you are an all rounder (like myself),a programmer,3d modeler, concept artist etc. showcasing your progression in your field of expertise but most importantly highlighting your best work, this could include for example any completed games, concept art of a cool gun/sword/robot,level designs etc, this should be in an easily accessible location e.g a blog,a youtube channel or website, but you should also have some examples with you if your going for an interview (this is where your best is needed) and be prepared to take in,analyze and improve upon criticism (you can ask for that here and people like myself will be glad to help you grow in your respective field)  be aware that this may take some time(don’t expect things to happen overnight but be happy if it does) sorry for the wall of text I had a few things to express and i hope this sheds some light on the subject.

You can also try catching some freelance work with Upwork.
www.upwork.com

It’s a freelancing website. I’ve been fairly successful with it making almost $2000 USD so far, but it’s been doing some pretty complex work taking about 3 months or so of full time work with UI, Networking, backcoding, etc.
