Brackeys, you should make a tutorial, or tutorial series, on how to make a script for a space ship controller that flies like an X-Wing or Tie Fighter like on Star Wars Battlefront II where you can roll and use a throttle and steer. The ship could be a simple capsule and the thrusters and guns could be cylinders. And it would be cool make a particle system for the thrust coming out and have it increase when you increase the throttle and vise versa. Also it would be nice to know how to have a player, like a sphere, that when it jumps on top of the ship, it enters it and it has a new camera.

Hey – not sure if this works, or maybe could have a vid based on it – this is a pretty cool asset for a spaceship controller, marketing itself as a tutorial asset, commented code etc:

Basically, it has a pretty versatile script to do LERP based cam following of the ship. This is kind of like a normal Smooth Follow, except you get it in full 3D, so the ship can go fully upside down, etc. The controls are easily changeable, which I did myself, but the default is that the ship is continually moving and you use arrow keys for pitch/yaw.
