# How to calculate percentage from gpa

Hey everyone,

i am a graduation student, i scored 3.6 gpa in my last semester can someone help me to convert this gpa into percentage.

It doesn’t really work that way, since anywhere from 90-100% would be a 4.0 and anywhere from 80-89% is a 3.0 for any given class.
What is your underlying reason/goal here?

GPA × 25 = %
3.6 × 25 = 90
90%

However, Binary is correct in saying that this isn’t how GPA works. GPA actually comes from taking your letter grade of A, B, C, D, F, and averaging it.
A=4
B=3
C=2
D=1
F=0

If you got 3 A, a B, and 2 C, that’s
4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 19
19 ÷ 6 = 3.16
You GPA for these 6 classes are 3.16
