I made about 28 different images that are supposed to be one sprite. I made it in photoshop and it’s 19 by 28 and saved it as PNG. But instead of it just being one sprite it was 28 different sprites. Then I was told that I needed to make a sprite sheet wich I have no idea how to to do. So my question is how can I make a sprite sheet.

  • I know this isn’t a forum for these types of questions but please this will help a lot.

A sprite sheet is literally an image that contains all relevant sprites/ frames of animation.
(see image below).

If you want to use those sprites separately in Unity you need to import them into Unity, change the sprite mode from single to multiple and use the inbuilt sprite editor. From there you can use them in animations (like this).

I didn’t really understand your question too well. So if I failed to answer the question, please do let me know and I’ll try to help you. 🙂

You open an image editing software, make a new image, put all the relevant sprites in one image…

If you can’t do that, then I don’t know. You literally just put all sprites on a single image, nothing special, nothing fancy.

How do you make that image and insert images on that image in photoshop?

Drag all images into one main image, watch the 60-second video tutorial below:
