Cannot assign local player to host client

I’m migrating a game to the unet networking but I found a problem.
When I try to spawn the player model prefab (unrelated to the player prefab per se), I cannot assign the ownership by SpawnWithClientAuthority, and only Spawn doesn’t work either.
